Day 1 at GTM Tech Week: talent is the GTM strategy nobody priced in.

Day one of GTM Tech Week Warsaw is about strategy: value creation, pricing, market expectations, and talent. Three of those get whiteboarded for hours. The fourth - talent - usually gets a line on a slide.
That's a mistake, and the data shows why.
In the last 24 months a brand-new revenue role appeared and scaled from almost nothing to a real labour market. European GTM Engineer role starts grew 13× between 2023 and 2025, and Europe is now the second-largest pool in the world after the US. Nobody planned for this in a strategy offsite. It happened because the economics of go-to-market changed: customer-acquisition costs climbed, and the teams that rewired their motion around automation pulled ahead of the teams that added headcount.
Here's the strategic point. The companies winning the next cycle aren't the ones with the best deck. They're the ones who figured out who builds the motion before their competitors did. Talent strategy is GTM strategy now - not a hiring afterthought.
So as you sit in the strategy sessions today, the question isn't just "what's our pricing model" or "what's our ICP." It's: who on this team can actually build the system that executes the strategy - and if the answer is nobody, where do we get them?
That's the question our new research set out to answer for one role. We mapped every GTM Engineer in Europe and traced where the market is heading, who fills the role, and who's hiring. The headline for any strategist: the market is real, it's inflecting, and it rewards teams that treat talent as a first-class part of the plan.
And we're putting our money where our mouth is tonight. TechTree is co-hosting Founders Hiring Matching by Inovo x TechTree (17:00-19:00) - matching founders with the talent to build their GTM motion - right before the Opening Panel. If talent is the strategy, this is where it gets actioned.
