The brief.
A global fintech leader needed to build a brand-new R&D centre and reach 200+ engineers within 12 months across the full stack: full-stack JS, backend, data scientists, data engineers and engineering managers. The target sat in one of Europe's most competitive engineering markets, with long senior hiring cycles and a real onboarding bottleneck risk at scale.
The search.
We ran every sourcing channel in parallel, direct outbound market mapping, job board integrations and talent partner referrals, to maximise candidate surface area. A build, operate, transfer model let candidates join as contractors and convert to permanent roles after 3 to 6 months, cutting time-to-start while preserving hiring flexibility. Deep technical pre-screening shortened the client's evaluation cycles and raised the signal-to-noise ratio.
The hire.
312 candidates submitted, 132 offers extended (a 42.3% submission-to-offer rate) and 84 acceptances (63.6% offer-to-hire conversion). TechTree placed more than twice as many engineers as the nearest competitor, who placed 29.
